"But, Lord Piedmon, I'm afraid I do not yet understand." LadyDevimon said, confused at her master's plan. "Wouldn't it just be easier to kill the digimon themselves?" Piedmon sighed.
"How dense are you? It is all very simple." Piedmon said, walking off. LadyDevimon followed her master.
"It would be a waste of time just to kill them. Puppetmon did have a good idea, but he misplayed it." Piedmon began, walking in front of a long table with several items strewn about on it. LadyDevimon watched curiously.
"You see, Puppetmon had the right idea to turn them together. But, every other decision he made was foolish and a waste of time. He chose to turn the Digimon against each other. Wrong choice. You see, the key isn't the Digimon. It's the DigiDestined." LadyDevimon gave him an odd look at that.
"Lord Piedmon, the children are weak. They cannot fight or fight back! What is the point of destroying them?"
"The children are the power source of the Digimon! Cut off the power..." Piedmon motioned toward several crystal stones on the table. "Each Digi-Destined loves one of the other. More than one, actually. So..." he grabbed an orange crystal, with a blue and pink light shining within it. "For example, Courage. Courage has powerful feelings for-" Piedmon tapped the pink light. "Love. Yet, he also had the same feelings for Friendship." He dropped the crystal.
"And Knowledge." He started again. "Knowledge feels for Sincerity and Reliability. Love, for Sincerity and Courage, Reliability, for Sincerity and Knowledge. Sincerity, Knowledge and Love. Friendship, Love and Courage." Piedmon stepped away from the crystals.
"You see, LadyDevimon, the heart is the strongest emotional part of the humans body. Rather pathetic, actually. So, I have determined one way to finally defeat the Digi-Destined...how to kill them..." Piedmon stopped there.
"Well?" LadyDevimon snappen impatiently.
"Mearly not to kill them at all."
